Looking forward to Bakewell farmers market next weekend
Due to popular request as well as 30day aged Belted Galloway beef we will have - Grass fed Mutton

Sheep farmers generally agree that mutton is from sheep that are over two years old, where lamb is up to one year. The extra age of mutton gives it a dark colour with a characteristic flavour that is richer than lamb.

Those in the know are rediscovering a strong flavoured healthy and versatile meat- available at our stall at the farmers market this week. It sold out pretty quick last time so come early

Evening all

We have two of our Belted Galloway beef cattle at local butchers maturing right now. At point of delivery/collection on 28th March at Bakewell Farmers Market it will be 33 day aged!!🥩

Along with breed characteristics it is this extended maturing process we commit to, which enhances the tenderness of the meat and reduces drip loss and shrinkage when you cook our beef. We think this creates a special, beautifully tender and better value selection of beef for you to enjoy around Easter 🐣🌼🌷

In our 5kg box (£80) you have:
🥩 Mixture of Sirloin, Rump & Braising Steak
🥩 large roasting joint
🥩 mixture of mince, diced and shin
