✨ We are heading north up to byresfarm!

✨ With a selection of our meats all born and raised on our family farm!

🔥 We will also be firing up our grill!

🥓 Serving up some tasty breakfast rolls!

🐽 We’ll also be going the whole hog with our slow cooked pulled pork baps too!

🌱💚 MAY’S FARMING RECAP 💚🌱

🌱 It’s been another busy month on the farm!

🐶 Ben and Coal got introduced to sheep properly - both showing great natural instinct!
🐮 Calving drew to a close with the last few calves landing on the ground.
🐑 Lambs all got their first vaccinations.
🦆 Some ducklings were spotted in our wee pond.
🐑 More sheep gathered and moved to summer grazings.
🚜 Silage fields have all been rolled.
🐥 Day old chicks came home.
🐽 Piglets enjoying rooting aboot.
🐮Coo’s all oot at grass again.
🐑 Lambs all in for second vaccinations.

🏍️🌍 WHO’S COMING THE FURTHEST THIS YEAR? 🌍🏍️

Last year at the Garvey MCC Rally we had some serious miles put in to get to Lunan…

🏆 Furthest travelled female came all the way from SHETLAND🏆 Furthest travelled male rode up from England

And yes… we’ll be awarding both again this year 😎🍻

There’s something special about seeing bikes roll in from all over the country for a weekend of good people, live music, cold beers and rally atmosphere.

💚🌱 WILD WEDNESDAYS 🌱💚

🌳 Introducing the Treecreeper

🐦 One of the most beautifully camouflaged little birds found around the farm and woodland.

🌳 Often spotted spiralling up tree trunks searching for insects and spiders hidden deep within the bark.

🤎 Their mottled brown and cream feathers blend perfectly with the trees — making them surprisingly difficult to spot.

🪵 Uses its stiff tail feathers for support, rather like a miniature woodpecker.

▪️Usually works its way upwards before fluttering back down to the base of the next tree to start again.

🎶 Despite their tiny size, they have a delicate and surprisingly beautiful song of high whistles and trills.
