Our Story

Jimmy Deane’s is a local independent family greengrocer established in 1970, bringing you quality fresh fruit, vegetables and salad. Offering fresh produce at very competitive prices to retail customers across the South West.

It has always been our policy to provide quality produce at the most competitive prices. We regularly compare our prices against other leading retailers and supermarkets to ensure our customers receive the best possible value for money. Where possible we source local seasonal produce, organic and fair trade goods. We also fully inspect the stock that we purchase to ensure our high standards are maintained. Our level of expertise is second to none and means that we know our industry inside out. We are passionate about what we do and use this to provide you with the best service, advice and value for money.

Over 48 years of experience in the trade

Established in 1970 by Jimmy's father, Richard 'Guv' Deane first started trading at Devizes market where even up until now we have maintained a loyal customer base. In 1979 he set up shop at Ashton Gate market every Sunday (see below). This increased in size and moved to the popular Sunday market based within the Bristol Wholesale Fruit Centre where we now have premises today.
