This afternoon we finished Harvest 26 on the farm.

This is the earliest we have ever finished combining, which is mainly due to the extremely high temperatures we’ve seen this year.

It’s dinner time for the pigs.

All the pork we rear on the farm goes through the farm shop.

The first loads of winter barley have gone out today, which will be used for animal feed.

Here we are on the go with the spring oats, where you can see us in action unloading into the grain trailer.

Did you know that when the combine is three quarters full, the orange beacons will start flashing? This signals to those corn carting to get ready, as the grain tank is nearly full and will need emptying soon.

Today is . We’re going to show you what we get up to on the farm.

In the field, we are starting with servicing the combine. This includes refuelling and blowing the combine down. Combines get very dusty and blowing it down helps to reduce the risk of fire.

We have 16 hectares of spring oats left to combine; the equivalent of approximately 22 football pitches.
