It's been a while. Two forays and two lectures so far this year. Another foray at the weekend.
It's really difficult to get access to decent woodlands to run forays. Permission is required and not many land owners are interested.
Maybe next year we I'll be better.

Clitocybe geotropa, tawny funnel cap.
These are one of my favourite wild, gourmet, mushrooms, delicious 😊

Not been very active here.
I’m looking for new sites to foray.

My local wood has been over run and the fungi along with a range of plants have been in decline for a number of years now.

If any one knows of any land owners who have woodland, and would be willing to allow a few forays during the Autumn, then please drop me a message.

These little beuts also go well with mushrooms. Just pop one on top of a nice wild mushroom, a nice big prince works well, with a few tomatoes. Sprinkle with black peeper and a drizzle of olive oil, cook and enjoy. I roast mine in the oven.

A selection of "burger bombs" just pop one into your, home made burger, cook and enjoy.
