We are open today!

If you want to miss the queues then today is the best day to pop into the shop. We’ve got all our usual produce available (even if you haven’t placed an order).

From the 25th we’ll be shut for 5 days. We are of course open on the 23rd and 24th but it will be very busy!

3kg local free range ducks from Beechridge Farm, exceptional quality, a great value alternative to Goose at Christmas.

Free range Bronze turkeys, last few remaining, limited sizes. From Orchard Farm, a local small scale producer near Crediton

Sirloin from our 100% grass fed Angus X Ruby herd in Abbotsham, dry aged for a minimum of 21 days this is a roast joint that’s sure to impress.

Angus X Ruby Red prime rib, the king of beef roast joints in our opinion, these are all from our own cattle this year….. limited availability, but we still have some left! these will be for sale in the window or can be reserved for Christmas. Available French trimmed “cote de boeuf” style, rib-eye on bone “Tomahawk” style or completely boneless, whatever your preference we will prepare to your spec.

This week we’ve had a local, wild red deer in, and have all cuts available in the shop!

Venison is a great alternative to beef, it is flavoursome and lean, packed with a diverse range of nutrients, thanks to the wild and varied diet the deer consume.

💰 About 20% cheaper than other grass-fed red meat options.

🚛 Extremely low food miles compared other farmed meats which have to go to an abattoir to be killed.

🌱Ethically, venison is a very humane choice because of being shot from a distance, & it involves no human intervention in its life cycle.

We are really loving venison steaks at the moment… great on a plate with some nice roasted winter veggies and makes a nice change from the usual beef or lamb with the added bonus of eating 100% natural wild produce whilst also saving some money too.

To all of our fantastic customers and suppliers, we hope everyone had a nice break. Christmas 2024 done and we can’t thank you all enough for your support this Christmas and throughout the year. Every year gets busier and every year we smash it. So proud of the shop and our amazing team. We’re open again Friday 8-4pm and Saturday 8-3pm.

Christmas week is just about upon us, and we wanted to let you all know, we will now be open everyday until Christmas, but with slightly reduced opening hours in specific days.

Most of you will be collecting orders, but we are also open to walk in customers, and have plenty of tasty stock available if you haven’t placed an order, lots of beef, free range duck, chicken and some turkeys.

For order collections, please make sure you bring your order number. There will be seperate queues for collecting orders and ordering over the counter.

Our fridge is now as full as our order books! 5 bodies of Christmas beef turned up today from our bullocks farmed in Abbotsham & Huntshaw. 100% grass fed, and raised under organic standards (‘officially’ currently in conversion).

Also many of you will have now clocked our order books are now closed. This doesn’t mean that we don’t have anything available in the next coming weeks, we just can no longer take pre orders. So you are welcome to walk in and ask for anything you are after as we have plenty of stock available, including free range turkeys, geese & duck.
