🇮🇹 A taste of Italy has arrived at The Barrie Box!

We’re delighted to introduce traditional Italian pizzas from Luigi's Pizzeria
Some of you may remember when they brought their pop-up pizzas to the farm, while others may have enjoyed their fantastic food at their Dundee pizzeria. If you’ve tried them before, you’ll know just how good they are!

They’re also our neighbours just down the road, making it easy for us to keep their products fresh and regularly stocked in the shop.

To start with, we’re stocking a selection of their delicious pre-baked pizzas, along with Mama Luigi famous arancini, made using a treasured family recipe passed down through generations.

The pizzas come ready to go, simply heat them up at home and enjoy authentic Italian pizza in minutes.

This is just the beginning. We’ll be expanding the range over the coming weeks and hope to add even more Italian favourites, including their incredible cannoli.

Today we had the pleasure of welcoming the 61st Glamis Scout Group and their parents to the farm🍓

They learned all about how we grow our strawberries, raspberries and blackberries, and it was fantastic to see so many young people taking an interest in where their food comes from.
It’s always great to share what we do and help children understand the journey from field to punnet. We may even have inspired a few future soft fruit farmers! 🍓

Of course, no farm visit would be complete without finishing up at The Barrie Box for a well earned ice cream 🍦

Sunday routine crop walking🍓☀️

A chance to get round the fields, check on the crops and see how everything is progressing. The brambles are looking fantastic, and with our blackberry harvest now underway, it’s exciting to see the first fruit being picked.
There’s plenty more still to come, but it’s shaping up to be a great season ahead. 🫐🌱😊
