As we finish the first trading week of September, we thought we would share this beautiful picture of the farm at dusk taken by Kirsten.
We are so grateful for the cooler temperatures, the rainfall that September brings and for the stunning sunsets that come with it.

Thinning out carrots takes a leap of faith and it is a job that requires you to be ruthless.
Look at the difference between these bunches of carrots . The middle bunch is from a bed where the thinning out wasn’t ruthless enough. You need to be cruel to be kind!

Great shot of Andrew looking through the polytunnel at our two year old monster chard plant. We are now collecting and saving the seed from it.

This year for the first time, we have drilled half an acre of a special seed mix for the pollinators in the summer and seed for our birds in the winter.
It includes; Buckwheat, Phacelia, Millet (pictured), Sunflowers and Vetches as we continue to support our local wildlife.

New in the shop this week.
Three different types of heritage chard, all grown from seed, Barese, Golden and Peppermint.
Also, our beautiful radicchio is back!

We are so grateful to our Friday night volunteers for their help watering, weeding and planting. 🙏
The cabbages were planted last night ready for Christmas with a stunning sunset as a backdrop.
