8 Years of Strachan Craft Butchers 🫶🏻

8 years ago this week, we opened the doors to our very first shop (Blantyre) and what a journey it has been since then.

From one butcher shop to three, we honestly couldn’t have done it without the incredible people around us.

‘Meat’ the Team 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼

A warm welcome to Brooklyn, the newest member of our team! 🌟

Brooklyn has been training with our East Kilbride team for the past 4 weeks, learning the ropes and settling in brilliantly. Honestly, you’d think he’d been here for 4 months with the level of customer service, forward-thinking attitude, and willingness to get stuck in that he’s already shown.

He’s been a fantastic addition to the team, and we’re delighted to have another hardworking young person joining us, with the potential to progress through the ranks and even into our apprenticeship programme in the future 💭

Brooklyn was drawn to butchery because he enjoys hands-on work and has always had an interest in cooking and working with food. His favourite part of the job so far has been chatting with customers and learning more about our products.

He’s also looking forward to developing his knife skills and learning more about cutting and preparing meat 🔪

Outside of work, Brooklyn enjoys hiking 🥾 and has recently completed his first 25km hike ⛰️👏🏻

A huge milestone for as she completes her SCQF Level 5 Modern Apprenticeship in Meat and Poultry Skills! 🥩✨

Nicole continues to go from strength to strength within our team. From serving customers, to product development, and now mastering whole carcass butchery 🔪

Her growth, dedication and hard work over such a short space of time have been incredible to watch, and she has truly become an integral part of the team 📈🧡

Congratulations again, Nicole! SCQF Level 5 complete ✅ We’re so proud of everything you’ve achieved and look forward to supporting you as you begin Level 6!

A huge thank you as well to for all of her support, encouragement and guidance throughout Nicole’s journey. We’d also like to wish Sarah all the very best as she starts her maternity leave 👶🏼 You’ll be greatly missed by the team, and we can’t wait to meet our future little butcher 🧡
