Just checking in after stepping away 6 months ago — hope everyone’s doing well! Life’s been good: 4 stone lighter, fully involved with the RNLI, loving my weekends off, and making the most of quality time with my two boys and Gaffa (Ellie) Couldn’t ask for more 💙⚓

Before anyone asks I miss all you lovely customers some who become great friends but I don’t miss the stress, long hours and weekends so no I’m not coming back … just yet 😎😉

Always a pleasure to be feed the crew at Brid Fire station pictured having a lovely homemade Pie with some nice stew and we sorted for them this week 👌

The time has come for us to let everyone know our news. Tomorrow the 24th December will be our last day at Smiths Butchers. After 10 years of being in business at Smiths Butchers we have taken the decision to move onto pastures new.

Being self employed takes a hard toll on our family life, working 6 days a week with 12 hour days but our change in lifestyle will mean we can spend more time with our boys who are growing up too quickly.
We would both like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers over the past 10 years we have thoroughly enjoyed our 10 years and will miss you all.

We have made some fantastic achievements from that little shop withholding 5 star food hygiene, gaining national recognition, supplied some national organisations, gained a contract with our local councils gained and maintained a NHS contract, supported and donated Thousands to local charities and lots lots more.

Finally a big big thank you goes to our staff who without Smiths wouldn’t have been possible and also to our dedicated suppliers who constantly provided and supplied some of the country’s best.

We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year.
