The 2026 English National Surfing Championships hits this Saturday 13th June!

England’s top U18 and U16 shortboarders are ready to battle it out for prestigious National Champion titles, in what promises to be an action-packed day of elite surfing. 💯

With national titles, and future Team England selections on the line - every heat counts. Expect big performances, fierce rivals and talented English surfers throwing everything at the famous Fistral peaks.

1. Tilt your head back submerging your ears.
2. Relax and control your breathing.
3. Move your hands and legs to help you stay afloat.
4. Your legs may sink - that's OK. Everyone floats differently.
5. Practice floating at a supervised location like a swimming pool.

If you see someone else struggling in water:
Phone 999 to get help
Tell them to stay calm and float on their back
Throw rescue equipment to help them float until emergency services arrive.
