Yesterday my dear friend and mentor passed away after a very short illness. Mick Lovell was instrumental in helping me to learn so much about honeybees and the art of being a great beekeeper. He will be missed so much but I know that he is now tending to the apiaries in the sky. So long Mick I’ll catch you on the trail 💙🐝🐝🐝

A very interesting article highlighting honey fraud and the heath impact that cheap and imported honey can have on your health. Always buy your honey from a local beekeeper - it is completely natural, packed full of goodness and delicious. Most importantly however you know that our practices are ethical and traditional and the bees have been cared for throughout 🐝🐝🐝

Almost half of honey imports to Europe have been flagged as suspicious. From sugar syrups to fake origins, honey fraud is big business.

Our very first hive at the bottom of our garden in Coggeshall. 🐝🐝🐝🌸🌹🌺Little did we know then how these tiny creatures would change everything! A hobby that very quickly became a way of life. Tasting honey that has literally just come straight from the hive can not be beaten. Although we now have many more hives the way we produce our honey has not changed. All honey is jarred, labelled and packaged by us. In every sense of the words we really are a cottage industry. Our honey contains all the minerals, enzymes and pollen that make local honey so special and so good for you.
