Bures Market

Bures Market The land is managed by the Bures Common Trust and hosts lots of village initiatives including the monthly market.

Bures Market is on the site of Bures Common which has been known under a number of names in addition to Meggs Meadow being the sight of Meggs the butchers many years ago. On market day, Meggs tea wagon provides tea, coffee and biscuits and local producers sell a variety of goods. This is a real country market and not like any other in the area due to it being a real social event with lots of local

s coming down to catch up and have a bite to eat as well as buy their shopping. It changes seasonally to meet demand with an ice cream van in the summer and chestnuts on the brazier in winter and local Christmas trees for sale in December. It also cares for it's stallholders by requesting a pay what you can afford stall fee. If you would like a stall either for a one off market or regularly please contact us at [email protected]
