“Since I've discovered the wonders of Burntisland high street I have been going to Macauley's Fruit & Veg Merchant weekly. Sometimes even twice a week.
All the produce is mostly locally sourced or from checked places abroad, but still very fresh, and real and amazing quality.
We buy everything that we need for the week at that shop and not once have we been disappointed. Everything gets used up to the point the fridge is empty ready for next week's restock every time it's time to go back.
Since we started getting our fruit and veggies there, I never throw anything out anymore. It's incredible, really. Not only that, our health seems so much better, we feel better, we are happier and over all our moods are just more positive. You are what you eat and this really proves it.
The value for money is also amazing, prices are extremely fair and I'm so grateful I have found this shop. We are not only saving money buying there, we are supporting local business which is so important to us and it's a long term investment in health!!!
I also must mention the owner of the shop, the most helpful, lovely man, very knowledgeable and really takes pride in quality of his products and rightfully so. He created a shop that provides a variety of fruit and vegetables plus things like pasta, sauces, juices, crisps and more, most organic and from known and safe sources, of a very high standard. Everything that gets used in daily cooking and more, you can get at the shop.
I'm just so happy thinking about how great that little shop on Burntisland High Street is.
Overall amazing shop!!! I'll go back every week, the highest standard of food, most amazing quality. worth every penny and more. I'd say the best fruit and veg shop in Fife for sure!!! Probably even in central Scotland.
