We’ve been working hard to turn our homestead dreams into reality, and these photos capture some of our favorite moments along the way. Starting from an empty house, we’re slowly transforming it into a place filled with love, creativity, and memories.
In the first photo, you’ll see Jaz in her happy place her double-decker bus. Right now, it’s just an empty shell, but Jaz has big plans to turn it into something special. She’s already imagining what this space will look like, and together, we’re dreaming up how to make it cozy and functional. This bus will be a project filled with heart, and Jaz is leading the charge.
Next, we’re in the process of turning our living room into something warm and inviting. In this photo, Jaz and I are painting the walls, getting the space ready to truly feel like home. With paint rollers in hand, we’re bringing the room to life, little by little. It’s messy, sure, but there’s something incredibly satisfying about doing the work ourselves. This house is becoming ours in every sense.
But before any of that happened, we had this—the empty living room. It was a blank slate, waiting to be transformed. No furniture, no warmth, just walls and floors that held so much potential. Seeing it like this, we were both excited and a little overwhelmed by the work ahead, but now, it’s amazing to look back and realize how far we’ve come.
One of the biggest milestones was our first dinner together in the new house. This photo shows the three of us—me, Jaz, and Bertie—gathered around the table I built by hand. It’s such a simple moment, but it means so much. After all the work, we finally had a space to sit down, share a meal, and just enjoy being together. It’s a memory I’ll always cherish because it was the first time the house really felt like home.
