Friday always meant Fish & Chips 🐟🍟 when I was growing up, and the desire and nostalgia is still very much there, only now, my plate looks a little bit different!

My parents still bring me incredible fresh fish from the coast when they visit but I’m also very lucky to also have access to the INCREDIBLE tinned fish range that we are so proud to stock here.

Every tin has its MCS sustainability rating listed on our website, and a full history of how, when and where the fish was caught. We work with family run fisheries with long histories, and brand new, small scale businesses who are approaching the industry with new visions, so that you can make informed, environmentally conscious choices when tucking into your lunch.

All that aside, these tins are truly one of the most delicious things in the building and you should absolutely give them a go!

This morning, I’m reminiscing about one of my favourite evenings of the year - this totally wonderful collaborative tasting with . A true community event in my local village, filled with familiar faces, favourite cheeses and some truly exceptional wine chosen by a truly brilliant team.

What a special way to narrow down your Christmas cheeseboard, meet your neighbours and celebrate artisan cheese. Here’s to round two in 2026!

Our shop has had a facelift since we last posted, so here’s our gorgeous new frontage, hanging sign and weekly changing A-board, with what you can sample in store (you can, of course, try nearly everything) and our seasonal favourites!

Last week was a big one for new cheese so we sent you all a dreamy newsletter of how to adapt your five-a-day for the winter. Gone are the days of healthy fruits and vegetables and welcome are the days of fatty, oozing, rich and gooey cheese - that’s what we all need in this weather. All available in our gorgeous little shop and now on our website too!

We’ve had a joyful summer social media break, but today is our 31st birthday and we’re back to celebrate!

Here’s a tiny insight into what the shop has looked like over the last few months, but we’ve been very busy behind the scenes and have so much to show you.

For now, here’s a sincere and heartfelt thank you to our customers for over three decades of incredible loyalty, to the hundreds of dairies, cheesemakers and producers we work with for their exceptional, unparalleled skill and deep dedication to their craft, to all the gorgeous, happy animals whose milk is cherished and celebrated by us all, and to our very small but very mighty team, who put so much care and love into every day of ‘work’. We are forever grateful to be a part of this unique and completely wonderful industry - thanks for having us!
