Our cheese of the week this week is Carreg las!

A new sheep’s milk cheese with the saltiness of Perl lad made by the same makers .

This is a very special cheese, made with fresh milk from Gareth and Nia Daniel’s, single flock of sheep, based in Machynlleth.

Sheep’s milk has a different fat structure and higher levels of amino acid compared to that of cow’s milk, making it is easier to digest.

Sheep’s milk also has much higher levels of natural lactoferrin than cow’s and goats milk, which is fantastic for our immunity and digestive health!

This cheese is available all week in the shop and the markets.

Our cheese of the week this week is Baron Bigod!

A lovely creamy farmhouse Brie made in Suffolk. Baron Bigod is a traditional Brie-de-Meaux style cheese produced in the UK and one of only a handful of its type in the world to be made by the farmer on the farm.

Using milk from Montbéliarde cows, it is a delectable, gooey delight with notes of forest mushroom with a slight nutty edge.

“Our aim from the beginning was to make a Brie better than the French.“ -

Available all week in the shop and farmers markets this week.

Our cheese of the week this week is Abaty Glas.

One of our resident blue cheeses, this lovely creamy, unique blue cheese is made near Aberystwyth by . Roger only uses raw milk in his micro-dairy, and with it being made on such a small scale the dairy are able to really hone their ability to make such an exceptional blue cheese.

This particular cheese means blue abbey in Welsh and is a result of the success of Abaty Brie, a raw milk Brie made by the same maker, and is one of few UK producer who make an unpasteurised blue cheese. Receiving recognition by the royal Welsh show in 2023, this is a cheese you shouldn’t miss.

This cheese is available all week in the cheese shop and the farmers markets.

A double whammy this week, new cheese alert and Cheese of the week! Welcome Sheep Rustler a creamy, hard ewe’s milk cheese similar in style to a Pecorino!

Aged for just three months - as it is in a petite format we want to make sure the cheese keeps its firm texture. This cheese has a beautiful, oily guise, typical of many continental sheep’s milk cheeses and it is a perfect balance of salt, savoury notes, caramel and butterscotch.

Add to a cheese board, slice into a sandwich or top your meals with it for a transformative flavour.

Made with unpasteurised milk and vegetarian rennet.

We’ve paired it with our cheese bar staple, Pecorino wine!

You can find Sheep Rustler and all our usual spots this week, come down to your local farmers market or shop to try!

cheese you would remove from the planet 🌍 - “The grated cheese from a supermarket that’s coated in that weird powder 🤢”

How do you like your cheese - “With a nice dry white and a warm baguette ” 🥖

Would you ever write a poem about cheese - “yes and I already have”
