Running a small business that relies on farmers market trade can be really hard when the weather is being spicy… but our three regular markets still go ahead every week, come rain, wind or shine! 🌧️💨🌤️

Sometimes that means no gazebos due to wind, sometimes it means brollies at the ready, but whatever the weather, we’ll be there.

Find us every week:

🍂 Rhiwbina: Every Friday, 10am–1pm, at the Butcher’s Arms.

🍂Roath: Every Saturday, 9:30am–1pm, at Mackintosh Sports Club.

🍂Riverside: Every Sunday, 10am–2pm, on Fitzhamon Embankment.

Cardiff Metropolitan University will be holding a Green Fair at their Llandaff Campus in November featuring lots of our traders and all are welcome at this event - it's not just for students!

Tuesday 3rd November
10:00am – 3:00pm

It's about sustainability, planet friendly, plant-based food - and along with our Cardiff Farmers Markets traders there are going to be plenty of other stalls, focussed on green and sustainable living.

The Llandaff Campus is easily accessible using the following Cardiff Bus Services: 62, 63, 66 from Westgate Street, stopping at Western Avenue (3min walk). The campus is also situated right next to the Taff Trail, a popular national cycle route leading from the city centre as far north as Merthyr Tydfil.

We run three Cardiff farmers markets every single week, come rain or shine. You can always buy a wide range of essentials like fruit, veg, meat, dairy and bakery products, alongside food and drink from some of Wales’ most exciting small food producers.

Oh, and there’s always great coffee 😉

Good food, stronger connections and a little more help with the weekly shop 💚 Cardiff’s Planet Card scheme gets a moment in the spotlight!

Carol from Cardiff Farmers Markets and Pearl from Food Sense Wales / Synnwyr Bwyd Cymru explain how the pilot scheme gave people on low incomes £11 a week to spend on organic and planet-friendly fruit and veg at our Riverside and Roath Farmers Markets - making fresh produce more affordable, increasing people's fresh fruit and veg intake, all while supporting local growers.

Camilla, talks about the experience of being a market customer using the scheme, and Paul from Paul's Organic Veg explains how it brought him closer to his customers and the wider market community.

⚠️ ROAD CLOSURES THIS SUNDAY ⚠️

Thousands of runners will be lacing up their trainers this weekend for the Cardiff Half Marathon October 2026. Anticipation is building for the event which will be taking place on Sunday, October 4th, and will see huge crowds of spectators throughout the capital.

The race falls on Sunday, the same day as our Riverside Market, so if you're planning on paying us a visit, be sure to check the rolling road closure information below, and plan your journey ahead of time.

You can also visit us at Rhiwbina on Friday, or Roath on Saturday if you'd rather avoid the crowds!
