Our Story

Foxhill Preserves, an award winning small business based in south Ceredigion. Our ingredients are sourced locally where possible, made locally and supplied through local retailers in Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire

Our ethos: ‘Keep Food Miles Low’ - Utilise the fantastic horticultural produce grown locally (including our own walled garden & polytunnel). ‘Keep it Local’ Supply local retailers, farm shops and cafes. Selling direct to the public via local produce markets. ‘Keep it Traditional’ - Use traditional small batch methods, thus maintaining tight control over quality of the fruit and end product. ‘Keep it Green’ - we will be using mostly renewable energy. Our gardens produce, fruit and veg using permaculture and organic methods, we welcome customers returning our jars for re-use.

We also produce a variety of unusual salads, herbs and vegetables grown in our polytunnel and gardens at Over the Rainbow. Seeds are mostly sourced from Pembrokeshire's Real Seed company, The Organic Catalogue and some from Bakers Creek. Seedlings, onion sets and seed potatoes from Trefhedyn Garden Centre in Newcastle Emlyn. All our produce is grown pesticide free, the soil fed by our own compost, our neighbouring farm manure, and an experimental compost mix of coffee grounds, wood ash and grass clippings!
