One of the best things about shopping at your local greengrocer? You don’t just leave with ingredients - you leave with ideas too 😄🌱🥒

This time, Sevi takes us through putting together a vibrant crunchy rainbow radish salad 🌈

Fresh, colourful and ready in minutes.

Simply slice up all your veg to taste (we went for pink, purple and black radish, yellow courgette and English sweetcorn), arrange over a bed of romaine leaves and baby cress, then drizzle over a dressing - ours had lemon, a good extra virgin olive oil (we love .glug.life !), honey and balsamic vinegar!

Perfect on a summery evening just by itself or alongside some buttery cod, grilled chicken or prawn skewers 💚

The Grocery Diaries: Episode 2! 🍅

Ever wondered where your tomatoes come from before they land on our shelves?

This week, we’ve headed behind the scenes to visit one of the fantastic local farms that supplies us, to see how these incredible tomatoes are grown and meet some of the people who make it all happen.

We love shining a light on the growers behind our produce because every tomato has a story - and supporting local has never tasted so good!

A huge thanks to The Green House Growers for the wonderful tour and for the always delicious tomatoes 🍅

Plus a special shout out to Woodhorn Farm for the salted caramel milkshake we picked up from The Oving Cow Shed en-route 😄🐄

💚🥑 One of the products we’re SO excited to have in store!

Did you know that many perfectly good avocados never make it to our plates due to surplus or simply because they don’t meet cosmetic standards?

That’s one of the reasons we love this avocado oil from Uppa Club. Instead of those avocados going to waste, they’re cold-pressed into a beautifully smooth cooking oil with a rich, buttery flavour and subtle earthy notes.

At The Grocery, we’re using it to toast up sourdoughs, soften tomatoes, add delicious flavour and let simple ingredients shine. Have you cooked with avocado oil before? Let us know your favourite way to use it! 🌿🥑

Join Sevi on his adventure picking up local raspberries! 😂♥️

It was a pleasure to have a little tour from Noella at Emery Soft Fruits Ltd who took us around one of their glasshouses in Almodington - just 3 miles from The Grocery.

We were delighted to bring back some of the juiciest, freshest raspberries - from plant to shop shelf in just one morning! We really value seeing exactly where our local produce comes from and the love and care that’s put into growing it ☀️

We’ve got some gorgeous raspberries from Emery Soft Fruits fresh in store now ♥️

After 23 amazing years operating under the Horrocks name, we are delighted to introduce ‘The Grocery’. We’ve got a fresh new look and name, but our great produce remains the same ❤️

We’re so grateful for all the conversations, support and friendly faces that have been part of Horrocks over the years, and we hope this new chapter continues to feel like a warm, welcoming part of the community 🏘️

The Grocery aims to reflect our evolving community through this refined, modern look, whilst still celebrating selling fresh, seasonal produce in the area we’re so lucky to be a part of 🙌
