It’s going to be a really hot week this week.
Please could you leave a cool box preferably with an ice pack inside to put your eggs to keep them cool if you are out at work all day. Or if you can suggest a place that is cool and shady to leave them

Ever wondered what the different food labels mean.

Ever wondered what different food labels mean for farmed animal welfare? 🤔

From ‘free-range’ and ‘organic’ to 'British' and 'farm fresh', the terms on packaging can be confusing. Not all descriptions and labels represent the same standards - some focus more on food safety and others on animal care.

Our latest blog breaks down the most common labels so you can make informed choices that align with your values: Informed choices: what food labels mean for animal welfare: https://www.rspcaassured.org.uk/blog/food-labels-explained

Some information about RSPCA assured products

Lower welfare farming is one of the biggest animal welfare issues in the world today, but together, we can play our own part to make a difference!

RSPCA's world-leading welfare standards go far beyond the legal minimum. Without them, many animals would still face poor conditions - and some species such as salmon, turkeys, dairy cows, beef cattle, ducks, and sheep, currently have no specific legal protection at all...

Because of RSPCA Assured:

🐔 Hens don’t spend their lives in cages

🐖 Mother pigs aren’t confined in farrowing crates

🐓 Chickens and turkeys have natural light and comfortable bedding

🐮 Cows get to experience enrichment with plenty of space to express their natural behaviours

🐑 Sheep have access to graze

🐟 Salmon and trout can swim with more space, in better water quality.
