That’s right — whether you’re popping in for a freshly made sandwich, a locally produced pie, or treating yourself to one of our delicious deserts, you can now pay by card as well as cash! 💳✨

We’ve made things even easier and quicker for you, so you can grab your favourites without any hassle. We accept card payments from most major providers.

If you’ve been into the shop today, you’ll notice we have our new signage up! It’s taken some late nights and a lot of hard work behind the scenes, but we are finally close to everything being finished!

We have a fresh look with our blue tabards, our new name to reflect the family behind the business, but behind every sandwich we make, every cake we sell, and every counter we fill, there’s still the same amount of hard work coming from our little team that makes it all happen 💙

From early morning prep to carefully slicing the finest local meats, our team puts heart and pride into everything we serve here at Barker’s. Whether you’re popping in for your lunchtime sandwich, picking up a treat for the weekend, or stocking up on your favourite deli bits, it’s these smiling faces that keep the shelves full and the brews flowing (even if we rarely have the chance to actually drink a full cup of tea 😂).

We’re so proud of the friendly, talented people who make our little business what it is – a proper local shop serving really good food.

‼️ Slater’s Provisions - important notice ‼️

If you’ve been a regular at Slater’s Provisions for the last couple of decades, you’ll probably have been wondering what has been going on. A lot has changed, you can find details of all changes below:

• After many wonderful years with the business, Karen has retired. Karen has been a huge part of our journey and a familiar face to many of you, and we are incredibly grateful for all the hard work, care, and passion she has given over the years. We wish her a very happy and well earned retirement, filled with good times and plenty of rest.

• Looking ahead, we're pleased to let you know that the shop will continue under new management. We're especially happy to let you know that Linda Barker will be staying in the business, helping to ensure the same friendly service, quality produce, and personal touch you know and love.

• We're also delighted to welcome Lydia Sagar to the team. Lydia is excited to become part of the business, bringing fresh ideas while staying true to what makes this place special.

• As part of this next chapter, the business will be trading under a new name: Barker's Provisions. While the name may be changing, the heart of the shop isn't. You can expect the same commitment, the same quality produce, and the same warm, local service — just with a fresh new look and name.
