💔 UPDATE FROM US GUYS… 💔
So guys, I’ve just had another update from SP Energy Networks… and it’s not good news. 😭
They’ve confirmed they still haven’t found the fault. 🤦 They’re continuing to dig up the road and work away trying to locate the problem. 😭
Unfortunately, the power actually went out at around 5:00pm on Sunday evening. As we were closed all day on Sunday, we had no way of knowing there was an issue until we arrived back at the shop on Monday. And of course… these things always seem to happen during the hottest week of the year! 🤦🥵
After speaking to SP Energy, they initially told us there were no known faults in the area and that we were the only people who had reported an issue. However, after speaking to the florist next door, we found out their power was off too, and the pub beside us confirmed their power had also gone off around 5:00pm on Sunday. 🤦 Unfortunately, we hadn’t been notified by SP Energy about any wider issue. 🤬
We’ve done absolutely everything we can to try and save our stock, but sadly around 90% of it has been lost, including both our fresh and frozen products. 😭😭 We’re looking at a loss of around £10,000 worth of stock. 💔
This is obviously a massive blow to our small family business, but as the saying goes…
“If you don’t laugh, you’ll greet!” 😅
So we’re staying positive, and this definitely won’t keep us down! 🙌💪
On a slightly brighter note, SP Energy have just confirmed they will have a generator delivered tomorrow, which means we’ll at least be able to produce our wholesale orders for deliveries. That’s a small bit of good news. 🙌
Unfortunately, we will remain CLOSED tomorrow (Tuesday 21/07/26) as we can’t get another fresh meat delivery until Wednesday at the earliest. 🤞 Fingers crossed SP Energy have everything repaired and we’re back up and running by then.
Finally, we’d just like to say a massive thank you to every single one of our amazing customers for all your patience, understanding, kind messages and support. It genuinely means the world to us during such a difficult time. ❤️
