Join us in wishing WW2 veteran Charlie Horne a very happy 100th birthday!🎂🎉

When he was just 18, Charlie was stationed in the engine room of one of the first vessels to travel to the beaches of northern France on D-Day in 1944.

Charlie celebrated his milestone with over 100 people, including his friends and family.

We hope you had a wonderful day, Sir.😊

Charlie was on one of the first Allied vessels to head towards Normandy on D-Day.

The local history society was lucky enough to have him at the film presentation that was made about his life.
He even brought along an old gr***de (thankfully deactivated, well as far as we know!)
