The son of late Yoruba actor Kunle Adetokunbo, popularly known as Defo Tunfulu, has penned an emotional tribute to his father, apologising for not heeding his advice while he was still alive.

Defo Tunfulu was widely known for his role in Yemi My Lover and was a familiar face in the Yoruba film industry.

In a post on X, his son expressed deep regret over choosing football instead of following his father’s advice to pursue acting.

He wrote: “Papa, if you can read this, I’m just telling you I wish I had listened to you back then, but God knows best. I’m so sorry for all I have done to you. Please keep resting, Papa. I’m truly sorry.

Now I’m facing it. I don’t even have a roof over my head because of disobedience. Football has changed me a lot because now I’m not even playing. I’m shouting for those academies, professional players and grassroots players.

I wish we had listened to each other then. Let me play the game, but you wanted me to do film. I can’t ever stop regretting.”

Veteran Nigerian actor Kola Oyewo has passed away at the age of 80, leaving behind a remarkable legacy of talent, wisdom, and unforgettable performances.

More than an actor, he was a mentor, a storyteller, and a pillar of the Nigerian theatre and film industry. Through decades of dedication, he inspired generations and helped shape the growth of the arts in Nigeria.

Though he may be gone, his contributions will continue to speak through the lives he touched and the works he left behind.

Billionaire businessman, Chief Godwin Ademike, was reportedly killed by his biological son at his residence located at No. 3 Hassan Adamu Street, Guzape, Abuja, on Friday, May 15, 2026.
According to reports, the incident occurred after a heated argument between the father and son over financial matters. The suspect allegedly confronted his father for not providing him with enough money to maintain what he described as the lifestyle expected of a billionaire’s son. He reportedly compared his situation to that of his friends whose fathers, despite being less wealthy, allegedly gave them more money and luxury items.
Sources further revealed that Chief Ademike accused his son of mismanaging funds from the family’s real estate business that had been entrusted to him.
The disagreement reportedly escalated when the suspect, who was said to be in the company of two women at the time, allegedly picked up a knife and stabbed his father multiple times.
Chief Godwin Ademike, who owned properties in upscale areas including Lekki, Maitama, and Guzape, was rushed to Karu General Hospital where he was later confirmed dead.
The suspect is currently in police custody as investigations continue.
Chief Ademike was a prominent importer and exporter of electronics at Alaba International Market.
