Causeway Speciality Market, is an outdoor market, established in 2006. It's a high quality, professional speciality market which adds value to the town centre, is supportive of local producers and attracts more visitors to the area. The Market operates on the second Saturday of every month, with some additional dates added during the year (check Facebook posts) in the events space at Coleraine Tow

n Hall in the heart of the town. The Market operates from 9am to 4pm and can accommodate 50 traders of which 32 are permanent stall holders. The criteria for trading at the market are that the products on sale need to be either organic or speciality goods. All products must be of a primary produce. It must be:

Grown, reared or caught by the stallholder
Brewed, pickled, baked, smoked or cooked by the stallholder
Made or created in significant part by the stallholder

Due to forecasted high winds, we have made the decision to cancel the Causeway Speciality Market this Saturday, 11th April. Keeping traders, visitors, and staff safe is our priority, and under these conditions we simply cannot proceed.

But there’s good news! Our 20th Anniversary celebrations are now rescheduled for Saturday 11th July 2026, and we can’t wait to welcome you for local produce, crafts, and family activities – a true celebration of everything that makes our market so special.

Causeway Speciality Market will celebrate its 20th anniversary on
📅 Saturday 11 April
⏰ 9am - 4pm

A special outdoor celebration has been planned with a marquee hosting traders demos and local chef demo - Stevie McCarry from Lir Seafood throughout the day.

There will be up to 60 traders on the day - promising to be great day to celebrate 20 years of the Market in Coleraine town centre.

The Market has become one of the largest outdoor artisan markets in NI over the years and has supported many local startups to develop their businesses.
