🐝 Happy World Bee Day! 🌼

Today we celebrate the tiny pollinators that play a huge role in our planet’s health. Bees help grow the food we eat, support biodiversity, and keep ecosystems thriving. 🌍💛

Let’s do our part to protect them by planting bee-friendly flowers, avoiding harmful pesticides, and supporting local beekeepers. Every small action counts!

“No bees, no food.” 🌱🐝

Back home in Lincolnshire and all colonies safely settled after a busy apple pollination season 🍎🐝

Another year of hard work done, with the bees doing what they do best , bringing orchards to life and helping ensure a great crop ahead. Now they’re back on familiar ground, ready to recover, build up strength, and turn their attention to the next flow.

It’s always a relief to have all hives returned safely and in good condition. A big thank you to the growers we’ve worked with this season it’s great to be part of such an important stage in the farming calendar.

For now, it’s a moment to pause, check through the colonies, and look ahead to what the rest of the season brings.

All pollination complete for another year.

Thank you Bob Halsey James & Nina for all your hard work in keeping us supplied with local honey 🍯

Did you know that bees don’t just see the world in black and white? 🐝🌸

Bees can actually see in colour—but not quite the same way we do. While we see reds, greens, and blues, bees are tuned to ultraviolet light, blue, and green. This means many flowers have hidden patterns (in ultraviolet!) that act like landing guides, helping bees find nectar more easily.

So next time you’re out in the garden, remember—what looks simple to us might be a vibrant, glowing runway to a busy bee. Nature has its own way of making sure everything works together beautifully 💛
