📣 Big News at Siop Bach!

After an amazing journey, I’m pleased to say that Siop Bach has now been sold and will officially be taken over by the new owner Bryn Hughes from April 1st 2026 🎉

I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone in Glan Conwy for all the support over the years – it genuinely means a lot ❤️

👉 The shop will be closed from 11:30am on Tuesday 31st March for a final stock check and handover.

You’ll start to see Bryn around the shop over the next couple of weeks, so please feel free to pop in, say hello and have a chat – he’s a great guy, really friendly, and I know he’s going to do a fantastic job carrying things forward 👍

He’s really looking forward to becoming part of the community and continuing what Siop Bach is all about.

It’s been a pleasure serving you all, and I’m sure you’ll continue to support Bryn just as much going forward 🙌

📣 Siop Bach – Important Update

Hey everyone 👋

Just a quick update from us. Unfortunately the sale of Siop Bach has fallen through, and combined with current staff shortages we’ve had to make a few temporary changes while we regroup and move forward.

🗓 From Monday 16th February our opening hours will be:

🕗 Monday – Friday: 8am – 6pm
❌ Saturday: Closed
🕘 Sunday: 9am – 12pm

⚠️ Please note:
This Sunday we’ll be closed completely to carry out a full stock check. We were hoping to do this overnight, but with limited staff it just isn’t possible — sorry for any inconvenience.

We really appreciate everyone’s patience and continued support — it honestly means a lot ❤️ We’re still here, still serving the community, and pushing forward.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the previous buyer was unable to proceed, so the sale has unfortunately fallen through and Siop Bach is now officially back on the market.

Absolutely gutted to be writing this 💔

As a family, we have made the heartbreaking decision to put Siop Bach up for sale. This hasn’t been an easy choice at all, but the truth is we just don’t have the time to commit to it anymore. With our baby due in just 4 weeks, the shop now needs someone who can give it the same drive, energy, and passion that we had at the very beginning.

This business has been our pride and joy, but it hasn’t been an easy journey. We’ve had more battles than most people realise – ongoing issues with the council over installing a private H-beam outside for loading and customers, numerous complaints about the sign at the end of the road, Wales & West digging up the street for 6 months, and Welsh Water closing the road every other month for maintenance. All of this made trading far harder than it ever should have been, but we still pushed through.

The business is for sale – not the building.
The shop will remain open until it is sold, so this is not a closure announcement.
