Good morning all
**Unfortunately the decision has been made to close The Urban Deli**
The idea behind The Urban Deli was never to get rich, but for it to support itself and a modest wage. Unfortunately, with the acception of a couple Christmas months, this has never happened and has now become impossible to stock and maintain.
We have all loved being a part of Darlington Market as traders day in, day out. From starting in November 2023 to taking control in November 2024, I had envisaged being part of the market for years to come.
I'd like to thank every one of you that has made the effort to come see us over the last 18months. If I could have thanked you all personally, I would have.
All the best to the other traders, thank you especially to Vicki Haus of Moss florist, Katherine and the whole team at Jackson's Butchers, the lovely Robin Blair and all of the street food huts and Darlington Market team.
The Market needs to stay, it's part of Darlington and it's history. And so am I so I have no doubt I'll see many of you soon!
