Munro Butcher - Butchers and Wholesalers Since 1922 we have grown into the leading fresh meat supplier in the North, blending traditional values of good service and value for money.

The North of Scotland is famous for producing first class beef cattle and lambs, reared on rich pastures surrounding the Moray Firth. Animals thrive on lush grass, crystal-clear water and fresh air, looked after by the best farmers in the world. Beef carcasses are matured for a minimum of 14 days, then boned, vacuum packed and labelled prior to delivery. Tender spring lamb, delicious highland venison from selected game dealers, award-winning black pudding and haggis are prepared with care and attention to detail. We've had a little "make a new product" competition between the staff in the Dingwall Shop.

Connie and Eilidh have been making Ploughman's Pockets and Butcher's Orchard Parcels.

AND on only his 4th day as a an apprentice butcher, Logan's got involved. He's made a Sweet Chilli Sausage, Stuffed with cheese, wrapped in bacon and then coated with a sweet chilli sauce. How impressive is that!!!!

Shops Got Beef? 🥩
Both Dingwall Shop (Starts with Pancetta) and Beauly Shop (Starts with Chicken Fillet.) have sent me videos of their counters today, so the battle lines have officially been drawn.

Beauly vs Dingwall. Who’s got the better counter?

Dingwall have also got some Dry Cured Apple, Oak & Cider Smoked Bacon that was meant to be heading to a competition this weekend…

We’re recruiting 2 Butchery Apprentices to join the Award Winning butchery training program here at John M Munro Ltd.

Our apprentices get plenty of hands-on experience from day one, learning knife skills, cutting techniques and traditional craft butchery alongside experienced members of our team.

Because you’ll be working within our wholesale operation, there’s a huge amount of butchery to get involved in and plenty of opportunity to build your skills quickly.
