It’s Healthy Eating Week and yesterday I spent time with the children at Damers First School, making rainbow salads and talking about why we need to feed our bodies a bit of everything to grow strong.
Not telling them to ‘eat your greens’. Using real food to help them understand that nutrition is a jigsaw puzzle, and why they need food of lots of different colours, shapes and textures. Little hands filling bowls with things they might never have tried before - what a fun and fabulous morning!
That is what Joey’s is built on. Real food that works hard for little bodies. Recipes that are paediatrician-approved, because we know that what children eat in those early years matters more than most people realise. Every meal is designed to give little ones the different pieces their bodies need to feel good, grow well, and have the energy to do all the things small people need to do.
A big thank you to Damers for having me.
