Forest Whole Foods is still a family run business through and through.  We make all our decisions as a close knit team, always trying our best for our customers and the planet.  The last 10 years have been a journey to remember with many highs and lows.

During this time we have navigated huge global shifts caused by Covid, Brexit and Crop Shortages.  Not to mention the day to day challenges of keeping a business running smoothly. 

We were pregnant with a toddler in tow when we registered Forest Whole Foods. Our eldest has now started secondary school and that baby shares a birthday with the business - so has also just turned 10 😁

Together we have sourced 3,474,918kg of organic whole food around the globe, supporting organic farmers in their mission to save our soils and improve our health.

The joy we find in sourcing only the best organic products has never faded.  Our passion for making sure our food fits the strictest organic standards only grows with time.

Our birthday marks a decade of working with our lovely staff and fantastic customers.

We just love everything about fragrant spices. Our organic range of herbs and spices are so full of flavour and packed freshly in our salsa/soil association certified clean rooms.

You can really notice the difference between spices packed to order and ones which have been sat on the supermarket shelf for many months or years.

It is also important to look at what is happening in conventional farming. As well as in our parks, playgrounds and verges 🪾

Glyphosate is one of the most widely used pesticides in the world. It is understudied and overused.  Its negative effects are being uncovered slowly... study by study.  It has dangers for the soil, the animals that live in it and our own bodies. 

It doesn't have to be frightening if we have knowledge. Every small change on our plate matters.

This is a super quick plant-based dish with garlic, soy and ginger sauce. If you love a stir fry recipe in a hurry, then this will become a firm favourite.

Some days we just don't have time for lots of prep and this is a perfect dish for those small windows. Tofu is such a versatile ingredient and when its cooked right it can be full of flavour and texture. This recipe uses crumbled tofu, which cooks quickly and absorbs the fragrant ingredients really fast.
