Dear River ,

Our community has been without a local Post Office since the closure of the one at the pharmacy next door. Many of us—especially the elderly, those with mobility issues, and local businesses—are struggling without easy access to essential postal services.

I have already reached out to our local MP,Mike Tapp, to discuss this issue and have also started an official petition to show the demand for a Post Office in River. My plan is to integrate the Post Office within River Village Store (3 Chilton Way, Dover, River, CT17 0QB) to ensure consistent and reliable service for everyone.

However, the Post Office has indicated they are unwilling to reopen one in River due to concerns about previous inconsistencies in opening times. With your support, we can prove that River needs and deserves this vital service!
