I have confirmed to the 1st 10 folks who replied. Look forward to seeing you all on the 18th.

As our holiday comes to an end 🫩 and we say goodbye to the simple stunning Palermo and Sicily we are looking forward to brining some Italian and Mediterranean inspired acts of culinary genius back to the Cafe, Bakery and Farm Shop.
We will also be looking to launch a new summer menu in time for the School holidays.

This is normally done behind closed doors, by me (Ray), whilst donning a damp tea towel wrapped around my head to keep the brain from going into meltdown trying to stay objective and my taste buds giving up after tasting multiple dishes over a really short time.

Over the last couple of weeks a few very talented folks have joined the team, who between them bring decades of experience in hospitality.

This means I can now discard the cooling headgear and share the pain of developing new dishes with someone other than me.

But as chefs are famously proud of their creations we need to get a 2nd opinion and thats where you guys come in.

We are looking for 10 volunteers to come and try some of our new dishes on Thursday 18th June 12.30pm - 2pm, give us feedback and help us shape the menu for the new season.

To grab a slot on what could be epic or epic fail, drop us a DM, we will contact the 1st 10 when we get back to bonny scotland and the single digit °C.

The Bruce Festival is going to be a busy one, we will be there with our scones, brownies, breads and buns. Also providing the backstage bites for the acts and their roadies at Bruce Live, somw fantastic acts there, hope they like scones 🤣.

At the Farm shop and Woodlea Cafe & Bistro we will have our even bigger range of cakes and bakes, spent most of today baking for the weekend !!

We bake our breakfast rolls daily, with the dough proved overnight and hand shaped and baked fresh for us opening at 9am.

Tomorrow we will also have a very special breakfast special, our fresh baked roll, some of our bacon, lorne or one of our puddings, then add a cheese souffle omelette and then pop on your choice of carb, hash brown, potato scone. Chuck some shrooms on there and you got breakfast roll perfection.

That's my version of breakfast sorted, what do you fancy?
We kick off at 9am and are open till 3pm, full range of cakes, bakes and bakery specials also at the farm shop.@
