I wanted to write a heartfelt post about the last three months and what they’ve meant to me personally. But the more I thought about it, the more I realised it isn’t really about me, or even my team.
It’s about you. Our community.
Over the last three months, so many of you have “popped in” for a coffee. You’ve kept me company on the quieter days. I’ve learned about your lives, your homes, your families, your hobbies, and how life has been treating you.
The fact that so many of you trust me with those conversations has made me realise just how important small businesses like ours really are.
We have people in this town who don’t always have someone to talk to, and that’s the honest truth. Without places like our local independent businesses, some of those people would have even less connection than they do now.
So this isn’t about telling anyone where to spend their hard-earned money. I would never do that. But what I will say is that Eastbourne’s small businesses are often the glue that holds parts of our community together.
Thank you for supporting our business, but more importantly, thank you for allowing us to provide a safe space for anyone who simply needs a cuppa, a chat, and a friendly face.
We appreciate every single one of you.
