Now with a dedicated team of helpers supply 2200 baskets of produce every week direct to our customer / supporters. All our deliveries are within a 30 mile radius of the 100 acre farm. We also supply other box schemes, shops and have our award winning stall at the Edinburgh Farmers' Market. The Biodynamic Farm grows 200 different varieties of vegetables and fruit. We also grow cereals for our hens

and have planted a 1500 tree orchard. We have rare breed goats, sheep, cows, pigs and have created a nature pond. We have errected 4000m sq polytunnels for early and warmer climate crops. Our aim has always been to show that you can grow fresh produce in a Scottish climate without the harmful chemicals.

Roisin showing off our monster chard! Our jungle of chard and chicory is transformed in only a couple of days with our summer crops: tromboncinos with pakchoi under, golden courgettes, cucumbers with fennel under, round squashes. Come and see us at our Apartheid Free Zone stall at the Edinburgh Farmers Market.

Crank up the volume to get the full experience of this leek dibbing contraption in action. Makes neat little 6 inch holes that the seedlings can be dropped in to, so you get longer white shafts. 50,000 planted so far! This is the first year we have been planting leeks while still harvesting last years leeks. I keep googling ‘is this the coldest spring on record!’ We will have leeks and lots more goodies at Edinburgh Farmers Market on Saturday.

We have some fantastic rocket for the Edinburgh Market tomorrow and our farm shop! As it’s our 30th anniversary year we’re giving 10% off everything in our shop this Saturday, only! Also if you are nice to Chloe and Ali at the farmers market and show your support for Palestine they will give you 10% off too. Saturday is also national demo day in support for Palestine starting at 1pm at the foot of the mound. There will also be an art installation featuring a replica of the car Hind was killed in. 335 bullets hit the 6 year olds car killing everyone but her and then the Israeli army murdered the paramedics sent to rescue her. SKKYFC!

And sow, the growing season starts again with thousands of seedlings started off on hot mats and heat chambers. Our overwintering crops are looking great with loads of pakchoi, endive, purslane, chard, lettuce, coriander. That’s just this polytunnel! Before people grew crops we were all hunter gatherers I guess. Now, nearly everyone relies on farmers for their food. Everyone should have the right to farm. So Israel, stop stealing land and killing farmers and their families. You knew where I was going with this 😉. Free Palestine!
