EXCITING NEWS! Our salads are back!

We are very excited to be attending the inaugural Aberdour Village Market on Saturday 25th April. We'll be bringing along a sample of our plants and also some of our Fife famous organically grown fruit and vegetables from the market garden and forest garden.

Our salads were always very fast sellers so if you'd like to pre-order to make sure you get yours before they sell out you can pre-order them on our online shop (see link below) and pay on collection.

Note that we now trade under the name The Fruitful Forest Garden

Thanks to everyone who has been following this page and all our endeavours growing food. We have now moved to a new page called The Fruitful Forest Garden to reflect our main focus on growing a mixture of annual and perennial fruit and vegetables, as well as establishing our plant nursery. If you'd like to keep following our work and learning new ways to grow your own food please like and follow The Fruitful Forest Garden as we will shortly be closing this page down.
If you enjoy our vegetables then you can still find them at Post & Pantry.

So looking forward to meeting our participants for this weeks forest gardening Workshop. Did you know you could grow a food forest in your garden or allotment? So much food for so little effort and sequestering carbon at the same time 😁.

save water - get a water butt!

Save rain water by buying yourself a water butt this weekend. One way of beating the hosepipe ban coming very soon and reusing rain water which at i am reusable we love! 🌧🌧🌧

It makes sense to save rainwater with a water butt and provide your plants with lots of water whenever they need it, without having to run the water from the mains.

You can use the water collected to wash your car, windows and in the long run saving you money on your water bill.

Butts are really easy to attach to your house, shed, garage or any other garden building that has a gutter and a down pipe so you can start saving water straightaway! And if a building such as greenhouse doesn’t have this, then consider having them fitted as you could save water – many litres of it doing so. It is estimated that on average around 24,000 litres of water can be saved from each house roof every year by collecting rainwater this way.
