Autumn is the perfect time to explore the charms of Effingham! 🍂

With its stunning foliage, crisp air, and cozy atmosphere, there's no shortage of things to do and see. Take a peaceful stroll through the Common and soak up the beauty of the changing leaves, or if you're feeling adventurous, head to the nearby Surrey Hills for a scenic hike with breathtaking views!

Don't forget to indulge in some delicious seasonal treats at one of Effingham's quaint cafes or pubs.

To the supporters, shoppers & visitors of Effingham Village Market.

We have decided to adopt a new format for the Effingham Village Market. It will now become a seasonal periodic market starting off with the “Festival of Christmas” to take place on Saturday 16th December 2023.

We will be running this jointly with EVRT (Effingham Village Recreational Trust), the operator of the adjoining KGV (King George V) playing fields.

This will be a very big community event supported by many local organisations, with one of the local schools rolling its Christmas event into it as well.

We thank you for your support of the monthly market over the past years and look forward to meeting you all again in the new format.

Our home is St Lawrence Church 🏡

A Grade I listed building, it's considered one of the finest examples of Norman architecture in Surrey!

The church boasts an impressive collection of stained glass windows, including works by notable artists such as Clayton and Bell and Morris & Co.

Its rich history dates back to the 12th century, with the tower being added in the 14th century, and the north aisle being rebuilt in the 19th century.
