đź’™ Please help us save lives. đź’™
On 3rd July, an incredible journey began as a Coast to Coast walk in memory of Stuart Thomas.
Although this challenge is being undertaken for personal reasons, it is also a mark of respect for Stuart, a much-loved colleague who sadly took his own life last year. Stuart was larger than life, deeply valued by those who knew him, and is missed by so many.
His passing has prompted an important question:
When did you last check in on your mates and ask if they’re really OK?
At the request of Stuart’s family, this fundraiser has been created to support Flynn’s Port in the Storm Mental Health Crisis Café – a safe place where people can find support, compassion, hope, and someone to listen when life feels overwhelming.
The challenge is to walk Alfred Wainwright’s Coast to Coast route, from St Bees to Robin Hood’s Bay – completely solo, unsupported, and camping along the way, with plenty of wild camping planned. It’s a huge physical and mental challenge, but one that’s being taken on to honour Stuart’s memory and help others who may be struggling.
The fundraiser is already over halfway to its goal, and every donation, no matter how small, will help us continue supporting people in our community.
đź’™ Please donate if you can.
💙 If you can’t donate, please share this post.
đź’™ Every share helps us reach more people.
Let’s turn Stuart’s legacy into hope for others. Together, we can make sure more people know that they are never alone.
