Well, actually, we do....... Looks like we've got a week of rain and even thunder storms coming up as of Monday, you may need a ☂️ or even a 🛶, so 1 last chance for a BBQ! Steak, burgers, sausages, chicken kebabs, we've got it all!

Happy !

For a change, we've decided that a picture of something other than produce can grace this post. Ely really does have so many beautiful sights, and we're blessed to live and work in the local area. But now, we head to a far more pressing matter!

Given that we are closing in on being just 48 hours from the weekend, it is officially time to take a look at the weather for Ely and the surrounding area. It's looking fairly decent for the next few days, so it'd be rude to not consider this as a perfect window for another BBQ!!

I'm sure you've all been into the shop recently, and are fully aware of the quality products we have, at a fantastically affordable price, but we'd not be doing our jobs properly if we didn't just give you a gentle reminder ;)

Burgers, sausages, steak, chicken kebabs, lamb...... The list goes on forever, and with our packs of sausages at just £4 for 8, it doesn't even have to be an expensive meal, just whack one in a bun, fried onion, sauce of your choice, and you're good to go! :)

The weekend is approaching! Don't forget, we've got all sorts of products, in a veritable plethora of flavours, all ready for a bank holiday barbecue with family and friends! Chicken, steak, sausages, burgers, chops, the list goes on and on!

Just give Saturday a miss, metal bbq tools and lightning are probably a shocking combination....... Friday evening, Sunday and Monday all look FABULOUS! ☀️😎❤️👏🍻

Happy , again! This is it, your countdown to the weekend officially reaches midway at lunchtime today, and my goodness is it going to be a great weekend, because some of you lucky folk get a three day break!

Definitely a time to treat yourself to a hard earned rest, and quite possibly a glass of two of wine on Friday night to kick the weekend off in style. So, which fantastic wine do we have to talk about today? Well cor blimey, mate, it's only a sauvignon blanc from all the way down under!

Based 400km or so from Adelaide in South Australia, Duxton vineyards was founded in 2015, so a relatively recent arrival on the scene, but already making a big name for themselves.

The 2024 Pete's pure sauvignon blanc is one of their ever increasing successes, and we're genuinely stoked to stock such a fine offering. Boasting aromas of passionfruit and gooseberry, followed by tropical fruit flavors, a flinty mineral edge, and a mouth-watering finish.

A dry and medium bodied wine, this is designed to be enjoyed young and fresh, and pairs remarkably well with seafood and fresh salad.

There's no way this can't have piqued your interest, so while you're at the farm shop picking up your essential BBQ rations, why not stick a bottle of this in your basket, goodness only knows you deserve it!

- WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER !!! -

Well, that weekend flew by! Back to another week of 9 to 5, paying bills, and wishing the next 5 days would disappear as quickly as Saturday and Sunday did!

Today we want to highlight a very popular product that almost flies out of the shop, and that's chicken! Now it's important to state at this point that it's almost impossible to take a good photograph of a chicken, let alone a spatchcock...... But we promise you that the taste of these birds is out of this world.

So what is a spatchcock? Well simply put, it's a flattened out chicken that has had the backbone removed. Why would you need to do that?

Well, aren't you full of curiosity today?!?

The answer is thus......

By flattening the bird it reduces cooking time dramatically, it also allows the breast meat and dark meat to cook perfectly evenly, and it ensures a nice crispy golden-brown skin. The versatility of chicken makes it such a popular option for dinner, whether you eat it off the bone, with rice, chips, or any other side, it always hits the spot.

Every week, we want to shine a spotlight on one of our carefully selected bottles of wine. Today it's the turn of this absolute beauty! The Viña Salceda crianza 2021. A beautiful Rioja, hailing from a Spanish winery that's closing in on 60 years of successful winemaking.

This red has a strong personality, and is made from a coupage of Tempranillo (95%) with a small contribution of Mazuelo and Graciano (5%) and aged for at least 12 months in American oak barrels. This Rioja is known for its intense fruity flavour, dominated by sloe and plum and spicy and smoky notes.

Sounds good, doesn't it? Well the good news is, that we've got it in stock at the farm shop and we're looking forward to seeing you when you pop over to buy a bottle.

Well done, you've survived another week, we're proud of you! Now it's time to unwind, and think about the upcoming weekend's food.

We have told you we offer fantastic value for money, and this week is no exception, with some absolutely ridiculous steak offers!

Happy !

We're halfway to the weekend, and it might all feel a little uphill from here. Waking up in the morning feels like a chore, and that alarm needs to just hush itself, or else! Get up, get ready, and tuck into the most important meal of the day (Not sure if this is scientifically proven) to boost your energy levels and productivity.

A couple of slices of toast are convenient, but can become quite boring, unless you have something truly SPECTACULAR to top it with! So how about raising the bar with a jam or jelly from the preserve wizards at ! When we say these are incredible we're not doing them justice, the range they offer is immense, ranging from classics like raspberry and gooseberry to combinations such as lemon, honey and ginger marmalade.

We love the fact these are handmade in Norfolk, and are proud to be a stockist, drop by and make sure that Thursday and Friday start the best possible way!
