✨ Golden Fork Awards 2026 ✨

We’re absolutely thrilled to be attending the Guild of Fine Food Golden Fork Awards — the food Oscars this evening! 🥂🏆

Our Coppa has been shortlisted as one of Northern Ireland’s finalists for the Golden Fork, following its incredible three-star Great Taste Award and we couldn’t be prouder.

Made by salt curing and air drying the pork shoulder from our own Royal Mangalitsa pigs, our Coppa is a true labour of love. With our pigs growing for up to 6 years, followed by approximately 1 year of curing and air-drying, this product can be up to 7 years in the making.

This evening, we’ll be bringing our three-star Coppa along to our tasting station to share with fellow producers, food lovers and industry experts.

We’re looking forward to meeting the other finalists, celebrating the incredible talent within the food industry, and of course tasting some of the fantastic products that have been nominated.

Whatever the outcome, being part of this event is a huge honour for us. We’re incredibly grateful to the Guild of Fine Food judges for recognising our Coppa and giving us this opportunity.

Wish us luck! 🤞❤️

What a weekend!

We’re home and sitting down after another brilliant and what a weekend it has been!

This was our third year at Moira and it really is our favourite foodie event of the year, with each year topping the year before with record sales.

A huge thank you to every single person who stopped by our stall — to all our wonderful returning customers who come back time and time again and to all the new customers we had the pleasure of meeting this weekend. Your support means more to our small business than you probably realise.

A massive thank you too to and for putting together such a fantastic event and for continuing to support local food producers.

And of course, a shout-out to all the other brilliant traders. We were delighted to be beside our friends Burren Balsamics and Corleggy Cheeses, but there were so many other producers there whose work we admire and whose company we always enjoy.

A special thank you to Shauna Magill, who took the time to chat with yesterday. It was lovely to have the opportunity to talk a little more about our and the journey we've been on. Thank you, Shauna, for giving us the platform and for championing Northern Ireland's food producers.

And then there was the bit you don't see… 😅

After the fair yesterday, the van decided it had had enough and refused to start because the battery had died! Thankfully, fellow traders came to our rescue and helped us get back on the road.

And finally… our new business photo! 📸

And yes… before anyone asks, this photo is actually real and not AI-generated! 🌽

With a quiet few minutes before the fair closed, we took the opportunity to sneak into the neighbouring cornfield for a cheeky photo before packing up. A big thank you to Bruce Photo & Video Northern Ireland who captured this one for us.

A pork chop, cured meat and Belgian-style farmhouse b**r have walked away with the top gongs at this year’s Great Taste Awards.

Hannan Meats, which has previously won multiple awards including the Great Taste Golden Fork, took six three-star awards.

That included gongs for its Sugar Pit Buttermilk Bacon, Buttermilk Pork Chop, and Dry-cure Bacon.

Some 13 products took the coveted three-star rating, with a further 33 awarded two stars.
