Today marks the end of an era for our family in Claygate. We’re incredibly grateful for the support and warmth we’ve received over the years. Three generations have poured their hearts into this wonderful village.

As we say goodbye for now, we’re excited to share our Christmas gift to Claygate…

Chris from The Fruit Machine Cobham will be taking over our building! He’s a great friend of Mick’s and has our full support.

Chris is an amazing person who embodies everything we cherish in this village. Please extend to him the same love and care you’ve shown us as he brings in his team.

We appreciate all the support as we made some big decisions! We’ve officially set our last day of business as Christmas Eve. So, before the big man takes a break, come and buy one of our famous and beloved Christmas trees one last time! 🎄✨

After more than 20 years of serving the community, we've decided to close our doors and exit gracefully.

Rising costs and a proposed rent increase of up to 60% have made it untenable for us to continue in the current environment.

We're in the process of determining our final day of business, so we appreciate your patience. We will be operating as usual untill a date has been agreed.

This was an incredibly difficult decision for us. After family discussions, we believe it's in our best interests to say farewell. To everyone who has supported us, worked with us, and been part of this journey, thank you.

It's been quite a ride.

Pleased to say we have some power, the UK power network team have been fantastic and have been working super hard to get us back up and running.

We know the weather is not its best, but please do come and see us, closing for an un planned day really does hurt a small business.

Its times like these when we really need the local community to come out in waves and support us all.

We understand its tough for everyone at the moment, but we do our best.

Over 20 years Mick has given his all to this community, as have many other shop owners, its not an easy task but we do it each and every day to help make Claygate what it is, although we do love all of our neighbours who make the atmosphere so great too!

Due to an issue with underground electrical cables we will have to remain closed today. UK power network are hoping to have the issue fixed by 19.30pm this evening.

Thanks for all the support over the years, crazy to think this guy has single handedly kept Claygates lovely residents healthy over the last 20+ years!
