Our award-winning fishmongers is based in Claygate, Surrey. We’ve been here for almost 30 years, selling a fantastic variety of ethically sourced fresh fish and shellfish. In recent years we’ve won multiple Great Taste awards for our superb smoked salmon and smoked haddock which we smoke ourselves on the premises. We don’t support mass trawling of our precious seas, and prefer to work with small i

ndependent businesses that send their fishermen out to sea in small fishing boats. WE LOVE TO TALK FISH! We know cooking fish can be daunting for a lot of people but if you’re unsure about anything, don't panic! Our friendly fishmongers will advise you on how to cook and prepare your fish, and which cuts would work best for the recipe you’d like to make.

Shocked and so sad to read this news, RIP Stuart 😢

We are profoundly shocked and deeply saddened to announce that Stuart Sandys, owner, manager and absolute heart of Sandys Fishmongers,

Has passed away suddenly this weekend.

The shop will remain closed for the time being but we will keep everyone updated over the coming days, via our website and social media platforms.

We appreciate your thoughts and prayers, and ask for privacy during this difficult time.
