It's brilliant knowing caterpillar and super pollen and nectar plants have gone to good homes, including one in Essex I believe?! 😊

This Saturday marks 12 months since the launch of the Exeter Quayside Farmers’ Market, and what a year it has been. Led by Food Exeter, this flagship project has helped strengthen the local economy while celebrating the outstanding food, drink and artisan producers our region has to offer, all set against the backdrop of Exeter’s historic quayside.

We're also delighted to be part of June Boom, Exeter’s month-long festival celebrating the city’s vibrant creative and cultural life. The festival is led by InExeter, who also helped launch the market last year.

Visitors can also enjoy the Sustainable Seas Festival at Exeter Quayside from 11am–5pm, featuring traditional maritime crafts, historic vessels open to the public, talks, lectures and films at the Haven Banks Centre, plus live music throughout the day.

This month at the Exeter Quayside Farmers’ Market, we’re delighted to welcome Penstone Barton Farm, bringing their delicious pasture-raised chicken direct from their family farm in the Devon countryside.

Passionate about sustainable, regenerative farming, Penstone Barton Farm raises chickens with care and respect for both the animals and the land. Their pasture-raised approach allows the birds to roam freely, resulting in exceptional quality, flavour, and welfare standards. 🌱✨

The farm is also home to Feral Flowers, a beautiful flower-growing enterprise rooted in nature and biodiversity, reflecting the same commitment to working in harmony with the environment. 🌸🐝
