📢 Our next Grant fund opens for community champion nominations today!!

We are bringing back the "better together fund" following the success of this grant in 2025. This time, we are opening the application process now to allow groups to provide events which tackle isolation and loneliness in our communities in the last 3 months of the year 🙌

We have 3 grants of £500 each available with one focusing on groups of older people and the other 2 for groups which will reduce loneliness and isolation 🫂

The criteria to ensure you are eligible:
🌟 groups annual income must be under £250,000
🌟 groups must have a governing document
🌟 groups must have a safeguarding policy in place
🌟 groups must have their own bank account which can accept cheques
🌟 groups must not have received a grant from our Young Futures Fund earlier this year

Examples of what funding can be used for:
🌟 for items and equipment to deliver activities that benefit service users
🌟 to run, create or enhance a warm bank
🌟 to support with utility bills in community spaces which bring together vulnerable people
🌟 to support with essential items
🌟 to hold an inclusive event to bring your community together

We have Blood Bikes in store fundraising today from 10 till 4

We are doing our annual in store food drive today for Galashiels Foodbank until 2pm. There are stickers and signs dotted around the store with suggested items for donation, please consider buying a little something extra today and popping it in our donation trolleys ❤️

We have Scottish Air Ambulance in store today raising funds 🙌 drop by and say hi when in store ❤️

Wow!! We raised £1,074 on our Climb the b***s challenge when we climbed the Eildons at the start of the month!!! That brings our annual total so far to £2,232.78!!!

Me and the wonderful Wendy Knoesen are here at Border Union showground in Kelso for the P5 countryside day where we are expecting around 1200 schoolkids!

We have activities and information on food packaging and the red tractor scheme
