I was delighted to present Peer to peer mindfulness with a cheque for £500 after they were approved for an Asda Better Together grant ♥️

This grant will be used for their upcoming 'quiet connection' project which will provide support to older people living in the Scottish Borders in smaller groups which aims to relieve the social anxiety some people may feel which prevents them from attending these groups. We wish them the best of luck with this endeavour 👏

New grant open today 🥳

🚨 Our Foodbank Fundamentals Fund application window is now OPEN!

Grants of up to £1000 are available to help foodbanks and food providers purchase essential supplies, invest in equipment, and support the delivery of services that help people experiencing food poverty in their local communities.

With funding available to organisations whose core purpose is food distribution and provision, we're pleased to support grassroots groups working hard to ensure local people can access the help they need.

Yesterday saw the very FIRST Scottish Borders Pride in Galashiels and we of course were there to support! We donated bottled water for the volunteers on the day and I was delighted and proud to join the march representing our Asda store ❤️🌈

It was a fantastic turn out full of positivity and happiness and the sun shone for all 🌞 hopefully this will turn in to an annual event in the Borders 🫶🌈

I know I said the last swap was the last one but it was so popular and was obvious that there were a lot of people still collecting that I have decided to do ONE final swap. This will give people who couldn't make the last one or didn't know it was on the chance to come in and get those albums completed and give you the opportunity to use all those doubles for good!!! ⚽️

Quick turnaround this time.... Sunday 16th August at 1.30pm in asda cafe- completely FREE!

Another FANTASTIC turn out at our second sticker swap where 55 collectors turned up! So many fantastic trades with some getting 100 plus stickers they needed ⚽️ this has become a lovely social and inclusive event for all and a great partnership between asda and our cafe and we hope to continue to hold these fun community events ❤️

This second swap was so successful, we have decided to hold another one soon to help collectors hopefully complete their collections 🤞 keep an eye on our socials for the next date 👀
