💚 Lou’s 💚 Mediterranean Butter Beans

A true family and friends favourite, that we’re so happy has become a customer favourite too!

We cook juicy butter beans, in a rich Greek tomato paste with celery, lots of herbs and a generous splash of white wine (don’t worry, it’s all cooked out - making it safe for a work lunch 😉).

They’re hearty, warming and seriously comforting - just what you need on these absolutely freezing winter days ❄️🥶 it’s cozy, wholesome and one of our ultimate comfort salads.

You might also spot it as a vegan sandwich option every so often, because honestly, it makes the most satisfying filling ever!

Lou’s 💚 Halawa 💚

Also known as Halva, our Halawa is a beautifully sweet treat made from sesame seeds. It’s dense but crumbly and can be enjoyed anytime, but we recommend pairing it with a tea or coffee ☕️, OR if you’re feeling extra snazzy crumbled over yogurt or ice cream 🍨! You can find it made with many different nuts but at Lou’s we’ve kept it super traditional: with sesame seeds, plenty of rosewater 🌹 and a generous topping of crushed pistachios.

Naturally high in protein and completely gluten and dairy free - just real ingredients, made in-house, the way our family’s always done it!

Sweet, simple and made with love 🤍 make sure you stop by and try a slice this week!

Okay okay… this is the last catering post for now, we promise!!

Everyone knows and loves our honey and pistachio baklava but our brief was ‘down in one bite’ size, so we made them slightly smaller than we usually sell in the shop - and we’re obsessed with how cute they look 🥹

If this has you craving our baklava… then same 🤪 you know where to find us! We’ll be back open Monday 5th and we’ll be making them fresh in the shop as always 🤤

Our catering option is available all year, if you need it - we’ll handle the food (and the kitchen chaos 🤣) giving you one less thing to worry about!

💚Lou’s 💚 Mince Pie Cheesecake

Hear us out! We know this one sounds weird and is the most untraditional dessert we make, but we promise you it absolutely works a treat!

We crush our homemade shortbread biscuits to make the perfectly crumbly biscuit base. We then add a layer of our brandy and mixed fruit mincemeat filling (this part is a family recipe, so we’ve snuck a bit of tradition in there 😌), which we then cover with a very generous layer of our cream cheese mixture - just to balance out all the beautiful spices. 🤤 If you’re a mince pie lover, you absolutely have to try this!

💚Lou's💚 Homemade Pigs In Blanket Sausage Rolls

These beauties are stuffed with sausages and wrapped in bacon, with a generous spoonful of cranberry sauce added, before they are baked to perfection. Also depending on how festive you're feeling, you also have the option of adding brie! This really takes our sausage rolls to the next level and makes them mouthwateringly good 🤤 we highly recommend!

Lou’s 💚 Chicken and Tomato Orzo 💚

This is a family favourite and is a traditional Greek dish, called Kritharaki. It’s hearty and packed full of flavour - which is perfect for this time of year! 🤤

Lou’s 💚 Pistachio & Greek Honey Baklava 💚

Without tooting our own horn too much, this baklava is a little piece of heaven on a plate. We soak our first few layers of filo pastry in infused greek honey, then add a layer of crushed pistachios mixed with rose water 🤤 and to top it all off we add our final layers of buttery filo and a sprinkling of pistachios on top!

It’s sensational and an absolute must try the next time you pop in 😉
