Re: Silton Market (Silton Village Hall 10-12.30)
It's definitely a 'Foodies' market this week.
We have the Pendragonwood Fruit & Veg Range with fresh sweetcorn, red apricots, a few English Asparagus and home grown broad beans extra this week. I've just returned from collecting a new batch of local strawberries so super fresh.
Jan has an ever growing range of freshly baked bread. (I can't help noticing how popular the sourdough is!) Though if it's all gone by the time you get to the market this week, you can always order any of the products from Jan for next week. The buns too seem to be very popular (savoury and sweet)
Vicky will be in the car park with Jurassic Coast Fresh Fish. Poor lass always seems to catch the rain showers! Please make it worth her while by supporting her if you can. It's too good a service to lose.
Alec has some great meats and cheeses as usual. Those wild boar with wild garlic sausages are flying out of his boxes. (Don't be mistaken into thinking that all he sells is on the table... root through his chiller boxes!) I know he has back bacon this week ...very nice too!
Janet, as ever has her amazing range of home made Cakes, Pies, Savouries, Preserves and other goodies at very reasonable prices.
Jan also has spent a good amount of time setting out her card and gift stall for you, so although they aren't edible, they are good and worth checking out. It's always somebodies birthday coming up!
Plenty of other bits and pieces to see and refreshments available. Don't forget that we are a dog friendly event (on leads)
See you there
Nikki and the market team
