A female driven team, our independent shop in the Southside of Glasgow sells a wide range of cheeses, drinks and deli items, such as baked goods, charcuterie and other nibbles and accompaniments from the b

est local suppliers around. Plus, you can also pick up some of our pretty tasty grilled cheese sandwiches to keep your hunger pangs at bay. Click & collect in-store, or UK-wide delivery available.

The grilled cheese of the month for August is a classic flavour combo with a twist - Goats Cheese + Bramble & Whisky chilli jam 🐐🍓

This month we are using Rachel, a vegetarian goats cheese, we have decided to leave this one meat free too so this one is for the veggies! (And everyone else as it’s delicious)

Rachel is a washed rind, mid strength goats cheese from Somerset. It has a delicate yet more-ish flavour, slightly sweet and creamy. Then we added a thick layer of Bramble + Whisky chilli jam, giving it a fruity, boozey kick with a hint of heat!

Starter Culture tasting events are the perfect way to spend an evening in an intimate and relaxed setting while tasting some delicious wines and cheeses and learning a little about them!

Róse Wine Tasting - A selection of 5 different Róse wines paired with complimenting cheeses - perfect for the summer róse lover!

Sparkling Wine Tasting - An interesting selection of 5 sparkling wines (pet nat, champagne, frizzantes ect) paired with complimenting cheeses. Our most luxurious tasting.

Mixed Wine Tasting - A selection of 5 different wines (white,róse,orange,red,sparkling) paired with complimenting cheeses. One of our most popular tastings!

Smokkelman wines are a unique and expressive kind of South African wines. They are produced at the Karibib wine farm in the Polkadraai Hills just outside Stellenbosch, using fruit from some of the Capes most prestigious cellars.

Smokkelman White Wit V6 - An interesting blend of white grapes. Crisp and refreshing with vibrant acidity balanced by a creamy mid-palate, finished with gentle honeyed notes.

Smokkelman Solitary Red - A blend of native red grapes. Rich, spicy and fruity with notes of blackberry, plum, pepper and dark cherry. Medium to full-bodied with smooth tannins and balanced acidity.

Both excellent food pairing wines!

Starter Culture tasting events are the perfect way to spend an evening with friends or a partner in an intimate and relaxed environment tasting some delicious wines and cheeses while learning a little about them.

Mixed Wine - A selection of 5 different wines (white,rosé,orange,red,sparkling) paired with complimenting artisan cheeses

Weird & Wonderful - A selection of 5 unique wines with interesting stories and flavours, paired with complimenting artisan cheeses

Sustainable Sips - A selection of 5 sustainably made wines (organic, biodynamic ect) paired with complimenting artisan cheeses.

Tickets to events are 40£ per person and must be booked beforehand.

Dookit’s “Glesga Jorts” - A 6.8% White IPA, A juicy and fruity modern IPA with all the dryness and crisp of a Belgian Wit. Orange citrus & banana flavours.
