We’ve got some very special steaks in the shop today, from a wonderful Scottish breed of cattle — Luing cattle — raised on Chatsworth Estate in Bakewell. 🐂🏞️

So, what makes Luing cattle special?

Luing cattle were developed in the 1940s on the Isle of Luing off the west coast of Scotland. They’re a cross between Highland and Beef Shorthorn cattle, bred to combine the hardiness and resilience of the Highland with the excellent beef qualities of the Shorthorn.

They’re known for producing beautifully marbled, tender beef, with plenty of flavour — exactly what you want from a great steak. 🥩🔥

And when that quality comes from cattle raised on the Chatsworth Estate, you know you’re onto something special!

Pork fillet filled with sweet apple chutney 🍏, our chorizo sausage meat 🌶️ , wrapped in smoked bacon 🥓 and finished with a spicy Argentinian-style sauce. A perfect balance of sweet, smoky and spicy!
