Prior to the pandemic we offered and continue to offer a fresh fruit and veg box delivery service to the following areas Goxhill, Barton Upon Humber, Barrow Upon Humber, New Holland, East Halton, Burnham, Thornton Curtis, Wooton, South Ferriby

We supply the best Free Range Eggs from our own hens, and also from our friendly local farmer, we try and source local produce where ever we can and believe in supporting local businesses. During the summer months we also have hens for sale and fertile hatching eggs, please message prior. Some of our breeds include Point of Lay Hens starting from £10 each.

Evening all the nights are really pulling in now aren't they? It's certainly pulling us into Autumn now 🍂🍁🎃
This will be our last month of Summer opening times where we will then start closing earlier ready to start our Autumn and Winter hours and menu next month.
We have a few seasonal treats starting to make an appearance with a GF pumpkin spiced latte cake this week, Tina's apple crumble traybake and forest berry cheesecakes 😋 Ebony did a fab job decorating a chocolate and lime cheesecake I made which went down a treat and we have strawberry shortcake as requested this week. 🍓 Now the weather is becoming unpredictable please can I remind you if your hoping for a table for 4 or more it is advisable to book as we are only a small tearoom ♥ 💚 We have been busy making a start on jobs before the weather turns Matthew has started cutting back shrubs, the honeysuckle has gone mad this year! He has been strimming and we have both been catching up with the grass cutting and will have to start again the way its growing !! Both chimneys have been cleaned by our lovely chimney sweeper and gutters are all cleaned and clear for the colder wet months ahead. Matthew has also redecorated his office which looks so cosy and an amazing workspace to help him keep focused on his great new projects that are going live soon and we will update on this. I am incredibly proud of how hard he has worked this year and the support and care he has given me and the animals especially our golden boy Jasper its certainly been a tough year with them and I forget how fast the years pass and we are all getting older as much as I always say your as young as you feel it can catch you out somedays!!! Thankyou all for sending love and wishes for Jasper and myself last week it means alot. Looking forward to seeing you all this week and I have our lovely Taya in with me tomorrow.

Evening everyone I haven't done a Shawbriggs update this week yet with quite a stressful week and fighting off the lurgy but we both wanted to say a huge thanks and good luck to our lovely Lucy who has started her new chapter teacher training this week, my Tuesday's will not be the same without you I have loved sharing them with you ♥ and I just know you will be a superstar ⭐ Also a big thanks to our team holding the fort all this week whilst I get rid of this awful cold I've picked up i hope noone catches it I've not had such a sore throat for a long time or felt so rundown which has made me realise Matthew and myself really need some timeout soon to wind down a bit and manage to finish some outdoor jobs before winter sets in so I will let you all know when we close for a bit. Our old boy Jasper is back on box rest for a few weeks after preparing for the worse last week after suddenly going lame our vets and farrier were called to visit and after more xrays and more blood tests it was discovered he had fractured a sidebone not laminitis or what I was so scared of it being his bone penetrating his sole so I'm taking it as a win for now! I think I'm gonna pop my clogs first at this rate Jasp!!
☀️🍦We have had a great lovely long summer with you all and we all really appreciate your support wether it's for coffee's, icecreams, cake, cold drinks or booking an afternoon tea which I am so proud of the girls who have done them all by themselves. Who is ready for this week's cheesecakes? Which one would you choose?
I have made a strawberry shortcake cheesecake and a kinder bueno one.
Will a strawberry and custard cake be more tempting?
Tina has been busy baking up her famous Eccles cakes and not forgetting some loaded chocolate brownies for the tearoom which look amazing and very chocolatey 😋 We have had bookings for afternoon teas last week and Libby really got stuck in creating some beautiful and delicious stands of delights with Ebony and Olivia too. With the hot weather our icecreams have been your answer to cool down with wether that's been in a tub, on a cone, in a cookie sandwich, on a waffle or banana split or if your going for it a sundae bowl 🍦🍧🍨 Hasn't it been so great to hear the rain again and how it clears cools and freshens everything up again the grass will green up in no time which means we will have to be so careful with Jasper and the ponies restricting their grazing by wearing their muzzles while they are turned out and keeping a very close eye on Jasper!!! Anyhow my bed is calling me so I wish you all good night, sweet dreams and see you through the week. ❤️💚

Wow what a hot and busy one it was yesterday .
We had an afternoon tea , table reservations and lots of icecream served all enjoying our air con it has certainly been so appreciated this Summer !!!
We always recommend people booking a reservation for tables to sit in especially if it's for 4 or more as we are only a small tearoom and can be full up at lunchtimes it just avoids disappointment if there is no space left. Finally I want to give Ebony and Libby a massive thankyou for doing so well in the heat yesterday, giving me time to keep an eye on the animals keeping them as comfortable as I can and hosing Jasp and the ponies down and for making the most amazing and beautiful afternoon teas yesterday that were enjoyed for a booking so thankyou so much to you both 🌟 🌟 Hope you all kept cool yesterday and have a lovely day today See you all soon love from us all ❤️💚

Hey everyone are you ready for another heatwave this week ? ☀️
We are ready here the aircon is on full, icecream and sorbet a plenty, ice cubes for refreshing iced coffee's and teas and lots of sweet tasty naughtiness to keep your energy up so the heat doesn't zap it!!! Matthew has been a big help with prepping the tearoom with me today for the week ahead so we could have some of the day we close on having some time just being us at home enjoying what we love and pottering. This week's cheesecakes made by my super Matthew is a biscoff one and the all time favourite lemon and ginger one 🍋 We have a gorgeous vegan raspberry and chocolate cake, a gluten free mango and passionfruit cake, vegan and gluten free Belgian chocolate cheesecake, lemon meringue and lots of your regular Shawbriggs treats 😋
Our big pupster Ralph has had his stitches out and is doing really well especially with sofa surfing and bossing me about he has me wrapped round all four paws 🥰 Our old beautiful boy Jasper is going to start having a bit of turnout fenced in the top paddock with a new grazing muzzle we hope he can get on with after his laminitis attack and with now having EMS (often compared to type 2 diabetes) we have to be so careful and restrict his grazing to keep his sugar and insulin levels low so please don't think we are being cruel muzzling him this is so he can enjoy being back out in his paddocks, having the exercise turned out with his friends while limiting his intake of sugary grass we just hope he gets on OK with it 💖💛 Matthew took a lovely picture of the farmer working hard in the neighbouring fields today we enjoyed a coffee break watching and that slight early Autumn feel is slowly coming 🍁🍂 does anyone else feel it? Enjoy your week everyone and you know where to visit to get a bit of break from the heat and a refreshing stop see you all soon ❤️💚

Just a quick post to let you know we are short staffed today due to staff holidays so there may be a wait on food as we are going to do the best we can to manage if we have another crazy busy day. Just a quick reminder that I'm having to shut early today 3.45 to 4pm to get Ralph to the vets on time and hopefully he will be having his stitches out if they are happy with how its healed and the cone can come off. Enjoy your day everyone ❤️💚
